Head of Finance
Ankit Mehra has 11 years of experience in fund raising and finance, focused mainly on solar energy across the US and Asia. He has raised ~$2B for 10+ GWs of solar energy projects and financed a 9.4GW renewable platform prior to Stellar. He has led all aspects of project, trade & bridge finance for solar projects while also closing multiple M&A, equity divestments, debt capital markets & mezz/HoldCo financing deals.
Ankit started his career in renewables with SunEdison in 2011 and was part of their funding Asia project finance team, where he worked on projects across India, South Africa and South East Asia. After ~5 years with SunEdison, Ankit joined SB Energy (a SoftBank group company) where, in addition to Project Finance, he was responsible for the Corporate Finance and Treasury functions. At SB Energy, he worked across the US, India and Middle East. Now at Stellar, Ankit is responsible for Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Tax and Accounting functions.
Ankit completed his MBA from Indian School of Business in 2011, Masters and Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-Bombay).
